Tarah Admin + Recruiting

hTara has been supporting new families since 2009 when she first trained as a birth and postpartum doula. Since then she's also worked as an out-of-hospital midwife's assistant, childbirth educator, and new parent coach. Her passion for helping parents and babies thrive together has led her all over the world. She's rocked babies to sleep in four continents!

A Massachusetts native, she joined the Nightingales team in 2018. She absolutely  loved providing overnight, daytime, and 24/7 care to New England families. in 2020, she transitioned to the Nightingales admin team where she's thrilled to continue to do this work in a new capacity. Nowadays you may catch her on a discovery call, coaching new recruits, or typing up a new blog post.

When not supporting new families...
In her off time, Tarah lives on a small homestead in the Blue Ridge Mountains with her husband, three daughters, and a menagerie of furry creatures. She's a homeschooling mom, nature enthusiast, and love of all things homegrown. In her free time she enjoys gardening, camping, reading, and attempting to be crafty.

A Newborn Care Specialist (NCS) and sometimes referred to as a 24-hour baby nurse or 24-hour night nurse, is a highly experienced individual who specializes in newborn and infant care. Most NCS’s have undergone specialized training, background checks and have advanced knowledge in subjects such as multiples or sleep training. A NCS can work with your family for the first few weeks or months on your baby’s life and help you have a smooth transition to a nanny when the time comes.
