Tara Dean Postpartum Doula

Tara Dean Postpartum Doula

Tara’s experiences have shown her that each new family’s story is wholly unique, while our deepest needs as parents are universal. She finds joy in helping moms, partners, and babies to thrive as a new unit together. To deepen her understanding of the intricate physiological processes that occur during early parenthood and infancy, she is currently in nursing school with plans to continue supporting families during childbearing year as an RN.

She lights up each time she is offered the privilege of holding a new baby.

Background and Training

Tara has been serving families as a doula, midwifery assistant, and educator since 2009. A Massachusetts native, her passion for maternal and infant health has led her to work with hundreds of families both domestically and abroad.

In 2015, she got to experience the raw wonder of becoming a mother firsthand with the birth of her twin daughters. She has spent the last 2.5 years honing her multitasking skills while caring for young infants and toddlers with medical needs with her own daughters in tow.

"I cannot recommend Nightingale Night Nurses highly enough. They were and absolute LIFESAVER for our family this past summer. Kristin runs a fantastic business-- her night nurses are super knowledgable, super supportive, and incredibly dependable. Our baby had terrible reflux for the first six months of his life. He screamed while eating when he was awake, and on some nights he woke up every forty-five minutes. My husband had to go away for work for the entire summer, leaving me alone with my very sweet and very difficult little one. We worked with two nurses-- Lena and Tara-- and they were both AMAZING! They took excellent care of my child, and also gave me their expert advice on how to feed him and take care of him when they were not there. What's more, they were incredibly flexible with my family's changing schedule (we ended up wanting them to come much more than we had originally planned!) Having the Nightingale Nurses d overnights with us saved my sanity and made my summer with my new baby so much better. This is a fantastic company, and I highly recommend working with them. You and your baby will be so happy that you did!"
