Karina Newborn Care Specialist + Sleep Consultant + Parent Coach
When Karina was growing up, her mother was a foster mother exclusively to newborns/infants. With these experiences in hand, by the time she graduated high school, she already knew that the littlest ones were her passion. She’s spent the past 12 years working as a newborn care specialist and nanny specializing with children ages 0-3. She has trained in the RIE method where infants are spoken to and treated respectfully and intentionally, and she holds a BA in child development. She is also pursuing certifications as a PPD and CLC.
She has experience with multiples, LGBTQ families, trans-racial adoption, children with disabilities, grief, and loss, as well as many other unique family situations. Her favorite thing to do is to put together schedules and routines for growing babies!
She describes herself as calm, gentle, honest and reliable.
Background and Training
Home + Family
Karina is a mother in Providence, Rhode Island of a spunky sassy and spectacular six-year-old girl. In her spare time, she enjoys yoga and relaxing quality time with family and friends.
Karina provides care to Rhode Island, southern mass and the greater Boston area. She also provides 24 hour live in care.
"Karina's knowledge and professionalism combined with her warm, kind presence made us very comfortable having her in our home caring for our little one. It was extremely valuable having the peace of mind that I would be able to get good night's rest the evenings she was here. She also went above and beyond by providing a thorough list of product recommendations and even consulting with us and putting together a sleep plan for our 2 year old, who was still struggling with bed time and sleeping through the night."
