Heather Postpartum Doula
SUPPORTING FAMILIES IN Boston, its Suburbs, and the north shore
Heather grew up on Cape Cod, the oldest of three homeschooled kids. She became interested in education and childcare at a young age, helping to teach her little sister how to read and later working as a babysitter. Heather spent time during and after her college years teaching English as a Second Language in the US, Europe, and Asia.
She became interested in supporting new moms and families after giving birth to her first baby while living overseas and experiencing the difference it made to have her mom stay with her for a few weeks. She has been a DONA trained postpartum doula for nine years and received her certification in 2014. In 2019, she became a Sleep Savvy Certified Gentle Sleep Educator and Consultant. She also has a bachelor’s degree in Cross-Cultural Studies and has done home visits for at-risk expectant and new moms through the Pettaway Pursuit Foundation's Doula By My Side program.
When not supporting new families...
In her off time, Heather loves spending time with her husband and three kids. An introvert, Heather enjoys spending time at home, baking, reading, and outside at the beach.
