Heather Howard Postpartum Doula
Heather started her journey as a nanny 15 years ago. She decided to become a doula when she realized her role as a nanny was more involved than “just” taking care of children, she was taking care of the entire family. In 2016, Heather trained with ProDoula and became a certified Birth and Postpartum. With her training and experience she can offer practical, real life advice as well as be there to just listen and be a non-judgmental support person that you might need during those first few months with your new baby, making your journey more manageable and less stressful. Whether this is your first or fifth baby, having a support system in place, even if it’s just a listening ear, is crucial to a positive experience. One of Heather’s favorite parts of this job is getting to meet new families and seeing their transformation and she cannot wait to meet yours!
Heather is open minded and willing to support any new or growing family.

We were lucky to work with Heather after having our second baby for the first two weeks home and it really helped give us a chance to catch our breaths and have a break after a long day with a newborn and 3 yr old toddler who was more of handful than usual. I also am recovering from a c-section and was still having trouble walking and getting out of bed. We also had Tara for one night who was also excellent. I really think this service should be part of everyone's postpartum discharge plan from the hospital as i can't think of a single family who would not benefit from such a service. Thanks so much!
