Why choose a Newborn Care Specialist?

A Newborn Care Specialist (NCS) is a highly experienced individual who specializes in newborn and infant care. Most NCS’s have undergone specialized training and have advanced knowledge in subjects such as multiples or sleep training. A NCS can work with your family for the first few weeks or months of your baby’s life. When the time comes for your family to transition into having a nanny, your NCS can provide hands-on training so that consistency in care can continue after her term ends.

We have skilled newborn care specialists nationwide. How can we help you?

How we find just the right Newborn Care Specialist for your family :

  • 1 FAMILY APPLICATION. This helps us dive a little deeper into your needs and lifestyle
  • 2 REGISTRATION. There is a $500 non-refundable registration fee, in addition to a signed working agreement that is required before we start the search process.
  • 3 MATCHING. We match you with an NCS (24 hour care) or Postpartum Doula (overnight care) that fits YOUR family’s specific criteria. We check references, run background checks, and create detailed profiles that give a comprehensive picture of their background and personality.
  • 4 MEET. You can meet with the potential NCS or Postpartum Doula in person or virtually, whichever is easier for your family.
  • 5 REFERRAL FEE. the referral fee is due upon contract signing with your NCS or Postpartum Doula.

The secret to a healthy postpartum:

Assignments vary in length between 2 weeks and 6 months; on average families hire a NCS for approximately 12 weeks (or until their baby is successfully sleeping through the night). Depending on experience, qualifications, and number of children (singleton or multiples) rates for Newborn Care Specialists can range from $30-$50/hr.

We recommend reaching out to book your NCS 2-3 months before your due date, or earlier if possible. Highly experienced NCS book up quickly.
